First, let's define some limitations to keep the boards running smoothly and looking good.

1. Make a very serious effort not to post any images larger than 640x480. This size fits nicely within your post, doesn't monopolize a page and you can generally express everything your trying to say with your image quite clearly.

2. Do not ask me if I will host your image on candiedskull.com. The answer is always "No". If you don't already have one, get yourself an account at Photobucket. They host the images for you for free, and they'll even resize them for you automatically.

3. Do not fill your posts with images. 1 or 2 images per post is fine, but we really don't need your family album in a single post.

4. Admins have the final say in whether or not your image is within acceptable limits. If we deem that the image is too large, too many of them or exceeds acceptable the bounds acceptable for public viewing, it will be removed. Attempts to repost the image after we've removed it will result in an immediate ban. (The only exception to this is that the Adults Only Board is not a public area and even there, only the "publicly acceptable" rule is relaxed.)

Now let's get to the actual posting part.

If you've followed my advice and got a Photobucket account, it really doesn't get any easier. Find the picture you are trying to post in your Photobucket album. Underneath your picture there are three boxes. The one you want is labeled "IMG Code". Just click the text in the box next to that and it is automatically copied - no need to right click it.

All you have to do then is paste the code into your post, which will look something like this:
Code:
[IMG]http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u167/CandiedSkull/eric2.jpg[/IMG]

This concept works no matter where you have your image hosted, only the URL will change. If you have the image hosted elsewhere, and you need to enter it manually, simply paste the URL of the image into the text entry box, highlight the URL and click the "Img" button above your text entry block, which will give you this:
Code:
[img]http://www.candiedskull.com/images/unlockedblock.jpg[/img]

Either way, when you submit your post, the result will look like this:

and this:

Have fun and don't abuse it!

. . . .and yes, that's me . . .better not let your wives and girlfriends see it, they'll be mad that they had to "settle". Razz
