Upgrade Tips
#1: Blades of Chaos
Without the aid of a couple difficult and unnecessary “exploits,” it is impossible to level up all of Kratos’ abilities and weapons in one play through the game. Depending on the difficulty level you are playing at, you may want to tweak which spells and weapons you master first. The following upgrade tips are beneficial for every difficulty, although God Mode may need some tweaking. The first task is maxing out your Blades of Chaos. The high-level moves are essential at taking out enemies later in the game (especially in Hades), and Athena’s Blessing, acquired at level 5, is the best perk in the game, and will make the trio of final bosses much easier to manage.
#2: Army of Hades
By the time you max out the Blades of Chaos, you should have earned the Army of Hades spell. This is another essential element to escaping Hades stress-free. You will have some breathing room to level up a few other spells, but I wouldn’t recommend leveling up the Blade of Artemis; there are no new moves to learn, and the blade rarely proves itself useful enough to justify the enhanced power gained from the secondary and tertiary levels.
#3: Poseidon’s Rage
If you just want to make it through the game as easily as possible, fill up Poseidon’s Rage as well; not only will it rack up some huge combos when it’s leveled up, it’s also a deciding factor in the second stage of the final boss. It works great as a space-clearing attack when you get surrounded or overwhelmed. |
